Jae Keun Lee is President & CEO of KB Kookmin Bank, (the largest subsidiary of KB Financial Group). He has received a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at Sogang University and a Master’s degree in Economics at the Graduate School of the same University. He has also earned a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering at KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology). He was inaugurated as CEO of KB Kookmin Bank in January 2022.
After joining Housing & Commercial Bank in 1993, Mr. Lee became Chief Secretary of KB Financial Group in January 2013 and then he served important positions including ‘Head of Financial Planning Department’ before advancing to Chief Financial Officer of KB Financial Group in January 2017.
In January 2018, he assumed the CFO position to lead Strategy & Finance Planning Group at KB Kookmin Bank and, in January 2020, he was appointed as Senior Executive Vice President of the Sales Group to oversee the entire branch network of KB Kookmin Bank.
Drawing on his considerable expertise and diverse experiences from working in the bank’s core departments such as strategy, finance and sales, he is sure to contribute to further development of KB Kookmin Bank going forward.
