Dreaming of hope together, building a better world for all
“KB Financial Group stands with small business owners in building a society where people can balance work and family life.”
KB Financial Group is working with major local governments across Korea on the Tailored Support Program for Small Business Owners, an initiative designed to help address Korea’s low birth rate and help small business owners balance work and family life.
The program supports small business owners who often fall outside the scope of government measures such as maternity and parental leave. By providing childcare services and financial support for replacement workers during parental leave, KB Financial Group aims to ease the financial burden that small business owners may face due to childbirth and childcare, while helping create a more stable childcare environment.
“We support small business owners who continue to serve warm meals at affordable prices, even amid rising living costs.”
KB Financial Group operates the KB Maeumgage initiative to support small business owners who provide customers with warm meals at affordable prices despite the challenges of rising costs.
The KB Maeumgage initiative is one of KB Financial Group’s flagship programs for small business owners. From 2024 to 2027, KB Financial Group will provide a total of KRW 6 billion in support to outstanding businesses selected from among the Good Price Businesses designated by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. The program is designed to help small business owners facing operational difficulties due to high interest rates and rising costs.
KB Financial Group will continue to support small business owners who provide their customers with warm meals at affordable prices and expand its support so that more KB Maeumgage can thrive in communities across Korea.
“Providing meaningful support when small business owners need it most.”
KB Financial Group provides a range of business consulting services to SMEs, mid-sized companies, and small business owners that face challenges in maintaining stable operations due to limited management know-how and practical experience. Through these services, KB Financial Group helps them build a stronger foundation for sustainable growth and competitiveness.
Launched in 2016 as the first initiative of its kind in Korea’s banking sector, the KB SOHO Consulting Center operates 13 centers nationwide. It helps small business owners and self-employed individuals strengthen their business capabilities through consulting in areas such as commercial district analysis, financing, taxation, and legal matters. As of the end of 2025, the centers had provided a total of 63,508 consultations.
“We are committed to being a reliable source of support for young people.”
KB Financial Group operates the KB GoodJob program to help address youth unemployment and create quality job opportunities.
KB Kookmin Bank holds the KB Goodjob Job Fair, one of Korea’s largest recruitment fairs, each year to connect job seekers with promising SMEs and mid-sized companies. It also provides participating employers with support through the KB Goodjob Preferential Interest Rate Program and the KB Goodjob Recruitment Subsidy Program. Since its launch, the KB Goodjob Job Fair had attracted a cumulative total of approximately 1.27 million visitors as of the end of June 2026.
KB Financial Group also provides tailored employment training programs for vocational high school students, university students, and service members preparing to leave the military, helping young job seekers strengthen their job skills and improve their chances of finding employment. These programs include the ‘KB GoodJob Employment Academy’, which is linked to the KB GoodJob Job Fair, and the ‘KB GoodJob Employment School’, a six-month program for vocational high school students that provides job camps, career consulting, and job matching support.
In addition, KB Financial Group provides comprehensive support for young people preparing for independent living, including employment-readiness training and opportunities to gain practical economic experience, helping them build a stable foundation for self-reliance.
“KB Financial Group will take the lead in promoting coexistence with nature.”
KB Financial Group carries out a range of initiatives, including the K-Bee Project and the KB Sea Forest Project, to raise awareness of nature conservation and protect biodiversity.
Launched in 2022 to help conserve bee populations, the K-Bee Project is one of KB Financial Group’s environmental initiatives. Through urban apiaries established across the city and a Bee Hotel at Seoul Botanic Park, KB Financial Group is helping create habitats that support urban bee populations. It has also created nectar forests in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, and Uljin, North Gyeongsang Province, an area affected by wildfires in 2022. By planting a variety of nectar-producing trees and plants with different flowering seasons, these forests provide bees with safe and sustainable habitats.
KB Financial Group is also working with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries on the KB Sea Forest Project to protect marine ecosystems. The project includes restoring seagrass forests in areas affected by marine desertification, as well as underwater and coastal clean-up activities such as the collection of marine debris.
“We support food truck owners by upgrading aging vehicles and equipment, providing tailored one-on-one business consulting, and expanding opportunities to reach customers in local communities.”
KB Financial Group operates the KB Food Truck initiative for small food truck businesses, providing support for aging vehicle and equipment upgrades, tailored one-on-one marketing consulting by experts, and expanded sales opportunities.
